Air Conditioning System Inspections
Building Owners - Legal Compliance - 1st January 2011
|
A Professional Service
- Flatt Consulting approved Air Conditioning Inspectors will provide fast cost effective reporting.
- From January 2011 all air conditioning systems over 12 kW will require, by Law, an inspection report produced by an accredited inspector. This legislation commenced in January 2009, when systems over 250 kW were required to be inspected; thus the legislation now is more onerous.
- Failure to produce a valid report could result in a fine from the Trading Standards Agency.
- The inspector must visually inspect the air conditioning systems and review data from record information provided by the building operator.
- The inspection report shall comment on the “efficiency” and “condition” of the air conditioning system.
- The report shall also recommend improvements to the system that will increase efficiency.
- This is an opportunity for building operators to establish the condition of their air conditioning systems whilst meeting their legal obligations. Benefi ts provided by Flatt Consulting Reports:
- Better planned cost effective future maintenance - Records of the types of air conditioning systems installed - Advice on ‘low cost’ energy savings to cut your running costs
- Our accredited inspectors can help you meet your legal obligation. At the same time we can add value to your business by helping you to reduce your energy costs in the future.
- All R22 Refrigerants will require replacement by 2015. The R22 replacement legislation will affect all systems no matter what size or age of the equipment.
